A sickly kind of sick day

I've had this weird stomachache since Monday, so I've been staying home a lot.  Which means, I am sufficiently bored right now.  I've exhausted almost all my social media options and so I thought I would turn to the one social media option I haven't used up yet...  That's right, the blogosphere!

First I want to highlight something delicious, that I still made, even with my stomachache.  I was very nearly doing cartwheels when I saw this recipe .  I sadly did not get any pictures, they disappeared too fast.  ;) But seriously y'all, Katie is a genius!  A picture from the genius herself, just to get you guys hungry.  :)

On another note, I've also been sitting around Influenster for a while.  I haven't gotten a voxbox yet, but I'm really excited to in the future!  I'm also here to talk about the new website.  I do like the complexity and professionality(is that a word?) of the new layout, but it's really hard and complicated to get a voxbox now.  Even me, a potsie with no life is still struggling to get some more points.  Toss a girl a bone...er, new pair of shoes...!

Hello World

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening to all of you in different time zones.

To start off, I'll post a bit about me.

I have a condition called POTS(postural orthostatic tachychardia syndrome) which basically means that my heart and blood pressure don't regulate themselves well when I stand up, because my autonomic function isn't working properly.  This means that I'm lightheaded, dizzy, have a racing heart, exhausted, have brain fog, nauseous, blood pooling in the lower extremities, and a whole other host of things.  It makes life not so fun sometimes, but I'm working through it.  :)  Because of it, I'm on a high sodium and high fluid diet.  2-4 liters of non-caffeinated fluids a day and as much salt as I can handle.

I'm also a huge theatre nerd.  Most of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals are my favorite.  I love Cats, Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables the best.  Other than that, I'm often in musicals and plays.  I've either acted in or stage managed around 13 plays in the past three years.  I intern for somebody teaching theatre classes for kids and theatre for autism workshops.

I'm also sort of a self proclaimed foody.  Food and I have a complex relationship.  While I love it, my body doesn't respond well to it, but I still love cooking/baking and eating when my stomach allows.  I'm especially a sugar hog, and I have a HUGE sweet tooth.  I even have my own cookie company, to help pay for a school band/choir trip to New York this spring.  We're still working on getting a license though, so that's a work in progress.  I'd also like to become vegan someday.  The parentals won't allow it though.

Other random things:  I dance, ballet and jazz right now, but I used to do hip hop and tap.  I love to sing, though I have troubles with it sometimes.  I love to read and write, English has always been my best subject, and I'm on the speech team at school.  I play the flute and piano, 7 years and 12 years respectively.  I love animals and have two dogs and one bunny.  One dog is a black golden retriever(some mix); her name is Bella.  The smaller dog is a mutt of the greatest kind, we think Pekingese/Japanese Chin/Beagle/Pug/something else; her name is Stella, and she bites strangers.  :o/  Then the bunny is a pedigreed Holland Lop that we plan on showing; her name is Faith.

So that's basically me, more will come out later, just thought I'd post this.  Thanks to everybody and have a blessed day!
